Portrait of Susan Aaron

Susan is an Ontario Registered Psychotherapist, a Canadian certified director of Psychodrama, a former registered massage therapist and a Reiki Master with extensive training in body psychotherapy. In 1990 she created the training program Psychodramatic Bodywork®. Since then her trainings and workshops have helped people from Canada, the U.S. and Europe by teaching and applying the principles supporting the physical, emotional and spiritual journey.

She works with a team of skilled students and graduates who help create the safe space that transformative experiences require. Their presence contributes to the relaxed and fun atmosphere her workshops are known for, and helps learning happen in an easy, natural way.

A spiritual component that deepens the effectiveness of the work is part of the trainings. Susan channels messages to her students with the support of a council of guides.

She has produced two videos illustrating her work on anger and fear.

What is Psychodramatic Bodywork®?

Psychodrama is a form of psychotherapy in which blocked spontaneity from earlier traumas is unblocked and reintegrated through dramatic action methods.

Bodywork is a form of healing that involves touching numb, tense or painful areas in a safe manner. This often leads to unexpressed emotions that can then be expressed, freeing the flow of the body’s energy.

Psychodramatic Bodywork® is Susan Aaron’s unique integration of these two dynamic techniques, and serves as a powerful complement to diverse therapeutic modalities. In trainings, Susan’s team of assistants performs demonstrations that illustrate the theory and the process.
